Christian Louboutin Sponsors Aurelien Shoes for Italian Bike Polo Tournament

The prestigious Italian fashion festival Pitti Uomo not only brings together gentlemen but also witnesses the exciting competition of Hardcourt Bike Polo.

The French designer Christian Louboutin recently joined a member of the most prestigious stylist group for men’s fashion, as a special guest of the 92nd Pitti Immagine Uomo.

On June 13, 2017, in the historic square of Piazza Santa Maria Novella in Florence, the Bike Polo tournament was organized by famous shoe designer. It attracted the participation of 8 representative teams from France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, England, and the United States. Teams are holding a knockout competition to determine the championship title in a single day.

Originating from Persian aristocratic polo sport, Bike Polo made its first appearance in Seattle, Washington state in 1999 and was played on hard courts by the bicycle delivery community in West America.

Initially, the postmen simply took advantage of their break, but over time the game was word-of-mouth through the Midwest, New York and then to Europe. He entered London in 2006. Yorgo Tloupas who is captain of Paris’s Raclette Party is considered the father of Bike Polo as he brought the sport from New York to London and to Paris 10 years later and has been supported by many people.

The Raclette Party and Christian Louboutin team participated in the Pitti Uomo tournament in Florence. Besides, Tloupas’s Yorgo & Co has partnered with the tournament to design the logo for the tournament as well as the event’s brand identity.

Hardcourt bike polo currently has more than 450 clubs and more than 5,000 players worldwide. Joining the recent Pitti Uomo tournament with the Raclette Party team is the World Championship team Call Me Daddy of France, The Mohawks of Germany, Ninja Five of Japan, Gnarcats of the United States, Crouching Tigers of Hong Kong, Italian Treee and Sky High of England.
