Sponsorship Shoutout #14: Jinxy Wheelcovers! Amanda has been making custom wheel covers since waaaaaay back in the day, and lemee tell ya, the ones she did for us look AWESOME. They’re printed with the Dead Elvis on our flyer, in color, and they’re totally drool-worthy. Less than a week until you have your shot to make ‘em yours! Thanks Amanda Wainscott! Wanna get your own? Check out her website!
Sponsorship Shoutout #13: Knog! Knog makes lights and locks that are perfect for urban cycling – need to change bikes? No problem, their attachment systems are a breeze, PLUS super fresh colors. OH AND DID YOU KNOW?! They’re good for the environment too! Their office is run on 100% windpower, 75% of their waste is recycled, and all of their travel is carbon offset. But when it comes down to it, they just make a quality product that looks awesome and is actually affordable to boot.
Sponsorship Shoutout #12: Outdoors Inc! THIS IS A BIG ONE, Y’ALL. Outdoors went out of their way to support us in a HUGE way. They are the main reason we’re going to be able to upgrade the back boards to 4 feet and keep all y’all’s shots from rocketing into the stratosphere. While you’re in Memphis, CHECK ‘EM OUT. They’ll be present at the tournament Saturday night, and of course if you need anything done to your bike they can help ya out at their shop. WE LOVE OUTDOORS!!
Sponsorship Shoutout #10: The Rec Room! This place is AWESOME. Five huge screens and couches to play games (or polo videos?!) on, FREE (!!) coin-op arcade games, ping pong, cornhole, foosball, YOU NAME IT. Registration party on Friday is gonna be the JAM. Two of the couches are gonna be ours all night, free arcade, food truck rarin’ to go, local beer bust and of course full bar. BE THERE.
We took first place at the Carolinor Minor this weekend!!! We lost our first game on Sunday and had to fight our way to the championship game beating South Florida twice! Here’s a video of the winning goal in sudden death!
Sponsorship Shoutout #9: High Cotton Brewing! High Cotton will be providing the brews for the registration party on Friday, so come thirsty, y’all! We’ve got two kegs of delicious, locally-brewed beer for ya – the first little taste of south in yo’ mouth for the weekend.
Sponsorship Shoutout #8: Whole Foods Market Poplar! Whole Foods has generously donated food for breakfast on Sunday, so make sure you get to the courts on time to enjoy some all-natural, delicious food! Food is fuel for your body, so you’re gonna get out what you put in – make it good stuff!! Goals powered by mother earth!
Sponsorship Shoutout #7! Origin8 makes the stuff that keeps your bike GOIN’: affordable parts that don’t skimp on quality. Origin8’s parts, components and accessories are beefy enough to keep you going even when polo puts a hurtin’ on ‘em – they’ve donated a veritable cornucopia of prizes, and we can’t wait to give ’em away!
Sponsorship Shoutout #6! Velocity and polo go way back at this point, from people converting their old fixed-gears and Deep-Vs to polo to the venerable Chukker – bit of trivia, did you know that a “Chukker” is the equivalent of a period in horse polo? Anyways, Velocity makes great rims for every occasion and we’re happy to have their support. Most of our club have used their rims at some point, if not currently – just check out our club’s photos and you’ll see ‘em all over the place! Show ’em some love!
Sponsorship Shoutout #2! The grippiest grips to ever grip a grip. We love us some Oury! Get ‘em at your LBS stat!
